Default Hooker sidepipe headers...where to buy

Ok its this, the new vette I'm looking at has a set of hooker supercomp side pipes but doesnt have the headers. It has the stock exhaust rerouted to the side pipes in a "bubba" style kinda work. So I'm thinking if its possible to buy just the headers without the side pipes. Its for a SB. And where can I get them.

Paul,

Paul,

You can order them from many places, if you want them coated order from Todd at Jet-Hot and tell him you are a forum member. If you want plain painted ones you can order from any speed shop or Summit. If you have a digital camera get a pic of the bubba exhaust, I can't even imagine how a small pipe would get hooked up to a 4" sidetube

I would never get the Hooker mufflers... They sound like crap - especially the reverse flow mufflers... Well - that's just my opinion...
Check the video in my sig to see how Hooker sidepipes should sound :jester

Olivier

I have a pair of the Hooker glasspack mufflers (not reverse-flow) that I pulled out of my sidepipes. They are _way too restrictive_ for my BB. Had 'em in there for ~45 miles. So they are basically new.

I'll sell 'em for 1/2 price.

Damn I wasnt aware that there was a lot of places with them. Thats cool, thanks guys.

Scott, the side pipes still have the 4 smaler tubes in there and the pipe that comes from the cat is split in 2 and goes to one of the 4 header tubes that goes into the big 4"
The inly pic I could get is this one and you can hardly see it!

If what you have are really the Hookers which have been Bubbasized and are not the cheap J.C. Whitney imitations, I would keep your 4" tubes (should be ~45" long and slip over the collector) and buy just the header portion from Jethot direct since I wouldn't trust Hooker's own ceramic coating (been there, done that!). Good luck with it!

Well that I dont know! I hope its the real deal because they looked really like the hookers except it didnt have the header portion. But then again I didn't pay particular atention to that, (I though it was the hookers and thats it) I had more things to look at, and having C3s in the past I was more preocupied with other things: like the headight pop up condition and rubber seals in the T-tops (I live in Oregon  ) and chassis (no rust)
Well I'll take another look at it to see what kind of gizmo is that. Is there any indication that it might not be the hookers and maybe the JC whitney's? What to look for?

Later

I wouldn't put the hooker mufflers in either. I've got 2 sets, 1 with aprox. 50 miles and the other set is still in the crate. I absolutely love what I put in. hint: see siggy. :yesnod:
