Hello All
The speedometer on my 1978 s/a not working. Its an automatic with cruise. I have taken the top cable off from the transducer and speedo works when turned. I took bottom cable off and ran car in gear on jack stands and the bottom cable turns. Does this mean my problem is in the transducer? Thanks for any advice
Lets check rhe inexpensive stuff first.
Are the steel drive cables still square on the ends that fit the transducer.?
Are the female drive collars still nice and square insidethe transducer?
With both cables disconnected from the transducer will the output turn when the input is spun at low speed with a correct-size square-end driver chucked in the drill motor?
Let us know.

If you have no interest in keeping the Cruise Control functioning, you can purchase a longer cable from tranny to dash.
Just order the year, tranny type & Non Cruise.
