Rebuilding '77 suspension
I can't comment on your suspension choices, but I hear that the 'glass spring
will maintain handling while giving a better ride. I have also heard that they
can be 'bouncy', but it sounds like you are buying it with matching shocks - so
it shouldn't be bad at all.
You just missed the big group purchase (I think) for the VB+P front and rear
transverse spring kit. Fully adjustable 'glass leaf springs - front and rear.
You might still be able to get the discount (like 10% or so).
PS - My mailman drove my vette through WAY to much snow and rain.
You're lucky that yours isn't as bad as my 75 was. Some pics of the old girl here:

I have mine set up with 460lb coils in the front, stock replacement rear spring (Steel) and Monroe Sensatrac's all around. It's a smooth ride for those Sunday drives with the wife.
I think the 460's are plenty on the front for normal driving as far as I'm concerned. However, if I wasn't trying to keep the car somewhat original, I would have opted for the Fiberglass spring in the rear.
One other thing that makes a big difference is the upgraded front AND REAR sway bars. Keep it flat and snug in the curves.
