Clutch linkage rod
Hello. My questions are about the upper clutch rod linkage, the rod from pedal to the cross shaft on my 69. The part I'm wondering about is the "G" clip where it connects to the pedal. Is it possible to remove and the re-install with out having to remove a dash pad, due to space, looks awful tight for trying to reinstall. My second question is if that G clip serves a certain purpose that a cotter pin wouldn't do. The cotter pin might be easier to install? Thanks and take care.

You can get the clip out. If it is pointing the right way you can force it out with a screwdriver and a few hits. Pulling it down will work if it is facing the other way. Not easy but doable.
