Dash Light Issue
I have been reading and reading about this common issue and I am stuck. My instrument panel lights spedo and tach as well as my gauges quit working.
1st thought headlight switch.
Replaced that, the lights worked for a second and quit.
Fuses are good. Cant get the lights to come back on.
All other lights work just fine.
Where do I go from here?
ohh checked the ground on the speedo and tach it is connected.
Any help would be appreciated. I am stumped!!

Are you sure your fuses are good, and conducting? I've had issues due to corrosion on fuses. Take them out and clean them, and measure for voltage, not just continuity.

Some times the light switch itself goes bad. I have had that happen a few times. I’m pretty sure that’s what is wrong with mine. The parts for the light dimmer will get a break in them and the headlights will work but the gauges won’t.

See if there is power at the instrument lamp fuse when the headlight switch is pulled out. It gets its power from the light switch.
