Have not seen any posts lately and was curious as to how things are going with your Corvette?
I just bought an 87 vert about 2 weeks ago, missed the Vette and had to replace it.

I miss my vette too, I haven't seen it for over a month. They are replacing my engine with a four bolt short block, not a 383 however, but this was too good of a deal to pass up. Apparantly the crank in the old one was all beat up. The new (reconditioned) engine should be built pretty indestructable - flat top forged pistons to bring the compression to 10.7 or so, and a new cam (comp cams 280, next step up from yours I think) to bleed off some of the compression. ARP rod bolts, double roller timing chain, new crank. To this they will add your top end parts. It should be ready in late January.
Have fun with your new car, you can't go wrong in the fun department with a convertable.
