Looking for a 75 convertible latch spring

Default Looking for a 75 convertible latch spring

Is it possible to buy just this spring? This is for the rear latch pin on the rear deck,driver side for the convertible for a 75.

Jeff, something is missing from your latch. The lever that the rod with the pigtail attaches to is missing (unless you removed it). The lever is held in place with the hex bolt. As far as I know the spring is not available separately.

You may check out McMaster Carr industrial supply. They have hundreds of springs. Just need to measure what you have and compare.
GM probably didn’t use anything special.

Jeff, when I look at how the latch mechanism is constructed, I do not see a way to remove and reinstall the spring.


LH part # 3942775 RH part # 3942776





You may have to buy a repop until you can locate an NOS piece.

Or buy a nice used one instead of the repop to hold you over until you locate an NOS piece.
