good day all. i am trying to order replacement speedometer cable/s for my 77 C3 small block automatic. when i go to the websites to order, they show single and 2 cable options. i cant get under the car to see what i have.
was the 77 C3 made with both options.
If your car has an automatic transmission "and" the Cruise Control option you would have 2 cables.
No Cruise or traducer has been bypassed just the longer single cable.

Yes
The cruise control transducer is under the driver side fender if you have one and that’s where the two cables meet. Unless you use cruise I would bypass the transducer and put in a longer single piece cable. Working transducers are getting hard to find.
Speedometer? Or Speedometer cable?
You were not clear on this. However. Cable replacement.
Get car up on jack stands. unscrew Cable retaining cap on trans. Unclip cable where it is clipped up in tunnel.
With hood open, from the top pull cable up into the engine compartment.
Inside car. Laying on your back. reach up and unclip Speedometer cable from Speedometer. Using your thumb to push clip and the rest of your hand to pull cable housing.
It maybe helpful to remove lower duct that goes to far left vent ball.
With cable now disconnected from Speedometer. Back to engine compartment and pull cable out through grommet.
Install in reverse order.
