I'm also investigating what it would take to put some sort of spark stuff in the carburetor tuning system. It looks like it'd be easy to put a knock detection system in so you could also tune your distributor's advance curve! The sensors would add about $100 to the price tag, and wouldn't be difficult to hook up at all.
Basically you'd have the same MAP/RPM grid, but severity of knock would be put into the particular cells. That way you could probably get the right springs and get an adjustable vacuum cannister and adjust your timing properly for maximum performance.
Is there any interest in adding knock detection to the system?
