Temp AFR setup
Hello
I’m looking to install temp AFR gauge to dial in carb and wanted to push o2 sensor up exhaust pipe versus using bing since it’s temporary.
Question how far in will it need to go and does anyone have recommendation on how to shield cable so they don’t melt?

use a heated sensor and it doesn't have to go in far. boat guys twist the o2 sensor on the end of a coat hanger and run it up about 2 feet. and you don't have to worry about water wrecking the sensor. and back couple feet of exhaust won't melt wires.

here ya go. it mounts on the end of the pipe with the sniffer shoved into the pipe, sensor is vertical
