Default small sensor passenger side 1970 350 engine

between the spark plugs I have a small electrical sensor with small black wire coming off it. It not coolant temp as that's on the other side. what is it for?

Sensor between spark plugs and my header pipes, Passenger side . what is it?

TCS Cylinder temperature sensor part of the emissions system " Transmission Control Spark".

basically shuts off vacuum to advance until warmed up.

There’s a solenoid valve attached to the intake manifold, that blocks vacuum to the vacuum advance. For a four speed, the vacuum passes through the solenoid valve when the transmission is in either third or fourth gear. The temperature sensor in your picture will allow vacuum to pass through the solenoid in the event the motor over heats.

Its a 1970? Looks just like my '77. Brown wire lead.

I believe that IS a Coolant Sensor into that cyl head for the temp gauge.

I don't know what you have on the other side. Maybe someone switched sides or maybe oil press?
Either cyl head have ports for temp sensors.
