I tried to read up here on the forums but couldnt find a exactly what my problem is. There will be a random grinding noise coming from the trans area while driving in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, reverse. Hasnt happened in 4th yet. It is intermittent, usually at a stop or slow speeds. I’ll go to depress the clutch, and i can feel a vibration in the pedal. Sometimes shifting to a different gear will fix it, sometimes not. It also happens when the clutch is depressed, sometimes stopping when I let off, sometimes not. I tried to adjust the clutch pedal play, which ive read should be 1 - 1.5 inches. I can get the noise to go away, but the play in the pedal is then reduced to .3-.5 inches.
I do plan on a 5/6 speed upgrade in the next year, but right now Im not close to having enough saved. Do I just leave the clutch pedal tight? Or am I removing the trans? I replaced the clutch about 8 months ago. It wasnt fun.
