Who has the best weatherstripping at the best price? Kits and individual prices. I've noticed in most ads it says 69E or 69L. How do you know if yours is early or late?
It's sort of tough figuring out if your car is a "early" or "late" 69. One thing to look at is the wiper door actuator, if it is the "coffee can" actuator then you might have an "early" 69. If you have the other type of actuator you probably have a "late" 69.
But there are many dates on which production designs were improved or replaced by different style parts. Most of the time the differences are cosmetic and only make a difference to a NCRS judge. If you look on Dr. Rebuilds website and look at page 117 of his online catalog, you will see examples of the differences between early 69 and late 69 weather stripping.
I can't give you a link to Dr. R's website due to forum rules dealing with direct links to non-supporting vendors.
Good Luck!

Re: weatherstrip? (dreamn2)
The main difference with the weatherstripping on 69's is the piece on the B pillar on coupes. GM used three differnet configurations of this piece, and most vendors will show examples of each. In general, a complete kit is cheaper than buying all of the individual pieces.
There were many changes to the 69 Corvette during its production run. When using the words "early" or "late", you have to be specific about what part you need. For example, the "early" seat belts on a 69 were used until a VIN close to 30,000 (out of about 33000 cars made), while for weatherstripping the VIN for "early" is much lower. (and there are also "middle" and "late" parts).
Is that a true 2000 millennium paint on your 69? What about those yellow seats...what year? I know they are not an RPO for 69? And all of this in an LT1! I like it.
I just purchased and installed the weatherstrip for/in my 78. I found Corvette Rubber to have a great price, quality weatherstrip, and they had come highly recommended by others here in Arizona.
The product fit very well and if it can hold up here in AZ ( drying out ) it should work well everywhere.
