This is a ince looking engine, but why the heck are they only gona make 200 of them??? And no price yet... they're a bunch of crack heads  anyways that engine would look  in my car! :yesnod:
That engine sure doesn't look like something that GMPP would sell. A 454 with oval ports, EFI, and a solid roller @232 degrees? Why? It ain't no race engine, and it doesn't have big duration, so why the roller? I don't think that info it accurate. Who's gonna pull that intake every winter to inspect the rollers?
Am I the only one who thinks it's fugly? IMO, the 572s look much better.
According to the article I read about it, the cost of this 'vaporware' engine will be approx. 20K.

IMHO, buy a Merlin.......or build your own for a lot less.
:yesnod: :chevy :chevy :yesnod:
I'd have to say that for the price I would rather get a Katech LS6 motor stoked and bored to 427. I would then have someone weld up an intake manifold that I could bolt a Holley onto. 585hp for only $27K, such a deal! But then I would stress over which car to put it in?
-I would like to buy just the intake and valve covers please. Also, can you give a discount being a CF member? Ohh, and give me also today's news paper. I'd like it to go!
ive heard the 20k figure from two different magazines.... but i wouldnt pay 10k for that.... they took a ZL-1 and made it into a lower compression, colder running, fuel-injected 454. not a ZL-1 in any way, shape or form. anything bearing the ZL-1 nameplate should be a completely unstreetable high rpm fire breathing monster. but thats just my .02 :seeya
One thing it does have is loads of cam lift- more than the original ZL1, but the duration is far more timid. The HP level is nowhere near the original ZL1.
It would be a fun motor, but I hate the usage of the name.
