NOVICE NEED HELP
My name is tino I'm from barcelona Spain, I'm the proud owner of a L48 1977 corvette, i bouht it 6 months ago from the north Europe ( luxemburg ) , and i have some questions, my engine has holley intake manifold and holley valve covers, but the carburetor is the original quadrajet , is this a good combination?
My engine also make a ticking ckiking noise, i think it comes from the bottom of the engine what could it be? This noise increases same speed as rpms.
The oil preassure is another thing thas it worring me, once i turn on the engine the oil pressure needle is somewere between 20 and 40 , once the engine in hot the oil preasure is between 20 and 30psi, the thing is that once i increase the speed the needle remains at the same place. any suggestions?
the oil level is correct.
My car has no fan clunch could it be a problem?
Many thanks to all of you and i will all a happy new year 2003
We will need to know what type of intake (model) Example= Dominator.
The oil pressure sounds ok. Remember that guage is old too.
I would be concerned about the noise coming from the botton end that does not sound good. It sounds bad.
If you are hearing a light ticking try to pin point it. It may just be a valve rattling.
What type of fan is on it?
Bob
