Default Steering wheel moves forward and back

i was driving today and i pulled back on the streeing wheel today bit lightly and it slid back on a spring and i could push it back to where i want it.... how do i fix this problem so it can stay all the way down????

That is your telescopic steering. There is a ring around the horn turn it left to losen and right to tighten.

When you rotate the ring all the way clockwise, the telescoping feature should lock. If it doesn't, pop off the horn button and remove the three screws and the upper horn contact.

Now remove the two small screws that hold the locking lever in place. Take a phillips screwdriver and tighten the special "star" screw until you cannot make the column telescope.

Now position the locking lever all the way clockwise and reattach it to the "star" screw with the two small screws. Try unlocking and locking the telescoping feature and push and pull on the steering wheel to make sure it works to your satisfation.

Reattach the horn contact and the horn button.
