Wiring from a 77 model. Other years are similar. as you can see, when putting switch in high speed position. Pink wire goes to relay. pink wire switches relay to allow power from the high speed blower fuse to purple wire that goes to blower fan motor.
Which fuse is blowing? The 25 amp heater A/C fuse in the fuse panel?
Or the 30 amp high speed blower fuse?
if it's the 25 amp fuse. disconnect the pink wire from the relay. does the fuse still blow when switched on high? Yes. issue in pink wire. No, try jumping red wire to purple wire at the relay connector. Fan should run on high. Does it blow the fuse? yes? bad blower motor. No. most likely a defective relay is all thats left.
I don't have a colored diagram for the 1982, I do have a line diagram from a 1980 the I doctored into a 1977 colored diagram.
Late 1977 the 30amp inline fuse was omitted to the HI Seed Fan Relay.
Hi Speed Fan Relay contacts received direct power from Fusible Link "A" same as the 1980 diagram.
I also replaced the wiring colors to match the wire colors on a 1980.
As you can see, the 25amp Heater A/C fuse covers ALL Function(s) of the Control Switch Circuits.
Have you tried different Function Control Switch positions, like Vent, Heat or Defrost?

a bad ac clutch can draw a lot. try unhooking the compressor. also a wire thru a 30 amp fuse from batt direct to blower can rule in or out the fan by itself.
Have you tried other functions of the slider function switch?
My troubleshooting approach here is to isolate the pressure cycling switch, Idle speed solenoid (if the 82 even has one) and the compressor itself from the HI speed fan Relay circuits.
