C3 - 454 Engine - Need help!
They took a few short videos showing several hoses and wires that are not connected and they don't know what they are for.
I don't know if there are common issues with this engine (fuel filter, carb problem, etc.) that the problem could be.
I would really appreciate any info at all on the hoses and wires in the video and what they are for.

3rd looks like a ground, mine is attached to the mounting bracket on the alternator
6th is a breather for the valve cover
7th is the power steering pump
also, with the engine off, all the oil will drain out of the valve train underneath the valve cover, leaving just a film. As long as the oil is at the correct level on the dipstick, the engine has enough oil.
#5: Might be a plunger switch be for the hood alarm... Looks like a bracket with hole just below your pinky. Doesn't look like the factory switch but might be an auto parts store replacement.

So this is a Holley 4150 carbed engine. Not the OE carb by a long shot. While not OE they are pretty troublefree and i doubt is the source of your problem. If it has fuel, spark, and compression all at the proper time it will run. Does it have spark? Is it getting fuel?
I saw in the one video it has a vacuum advance distributor but its plugged off. I suspect given the valve covers and everything else being out of a summit catalog that this is a Gen V swap. Your common issue here is your dealing with a 40-50 year old car that somebody has extensively modified. While I’m not saying these things were done wrong, the lack of being tidy makes me suspect. You need to figure out exactly what you have going on there. And educate yourself on how these various systems should work. Things might be fine as they are or the damned thing might be dangerous.
