Fuel gauge testing

Is there a way to bench test the factory fuel gauge? All connections and contact to the board seem fine. Yellow resistor gauge. What process should I use to diagnose?

Thanks riverracer. I forgot about all the tech and testing that Willcox has available. I’m ready to get this sorted out. I usually list the year I’m working on, just omitted. Correct, 82 car completely factory.
