Default C3/PERF. AutoX question.

I have an original ZR-1 vert. I have replaced the front springs with 550 lb. and have the original rear suspension. I would like to upgrade my rear suspension, I need your opinions form those of you with experience with C3 setups for this purpose. I will keep my new 15" Cragar SS's (thank-you Olivier), have @ 490 hp with original M-22. I have to replace the shocks anyway and the rear spring is also getting tired - should I stick with the 7 leaf steel spring, or move to a composite with Bilstein Sport shocks. I really floundered last year when I went, any advice would be appreciated.

I'm guessing you mean excessive bodyroll by floundered. Upgrading the rear spring if it is tired along with the shocks should make a world of difference, I'd also change your swaybar links to poly as well to stiffen them up and get a quicker response. As far as a new 7 leaf vs a composite spring, I don't think on an autocross your going to notice that much difference if they are the same rate, but the composite will probably ride better on the road and drop some weight. Of course the 15" tires with the tall sidewalls are still going to induce some roll.

The weight savings alone is worth using a composite, not to mention the improvement in spring response and reduction in road vibration.

Thanks, looks like my spring will be stacked, on my original parts bin in the garage, now which composite, VB or TRW?
