Default Cooling system

Guys what do your 1971 LS5 AC cars have for cooling fans and Water pumps? Mine has the pointed fan and a 3992077 water pump. Is this OEM?

The 7-blade pointed fan is correct and hard to come by (i.e., $$$), so don't get rid of it. I believe that is also the correct pump. Both the fan and the pump should have dates on them: fan date and part # is stamped on one blade; pump is cast into the housing. If appropriate to your car, they should be about 2 weeks to a few months prior to your car's build date.

Just received them back from powder coating. The fan has a date code and PN on each of the blades and the water pump is 5 days earlier to the original numbers matching blocks date code. Dates are only a few week prior to the car assembly date.

i would be tempted to use that rad as a wall hanging. it has spent 50 years full of coolant. and many hours soaking up bugs, leaves and rocks...
