i posted this problem before and i did get some very helpfull info but i have now tested both battery and alternator. The alternator is fine from what the test at kragen showed. but when i start the vett and test the battery it showes 12.5 insted of the 12.9 when its off. Is that the regulator inside the vette doing that or is it dead or is my electronics eating up the power.
what could it be then. somthing inside the corvette responsible or the alternator regulator? The 76 i got usues a 3 wire alternator set up is any one one the forum using a 1 wire alternator set up? what is needed to convernt the 3 wire alternator set up to a 1 wire set up?
Sounds more like the alternator imo.Check with a few vendors as there is a conversion kit for going to a 1 wire set up.I know who sells them but I don`t think I can post that.
Problem is fixed all though i still need a better alternator I got this one to work i found a lost wire in the engine comparments and i couldnt figure if it was positive or negative so i conected it to the negative plug on the alt and magic lol Im getting the 14.5 volts. Oddes thing too its a speaker cable. :smash:
