82 CFI Issue
I have an 82 CrossFire Vette that runs perfect until it gets to 1/2 tank. After 10 gallons of run time it appears to be starving for fuel. It will run but it has trouble once I come to a complete stop. Missing and sometimes will die. I have Installed a new fuel pump along with the entire sending unit assembly. Also cleaned the tank completely. I fill the tank up and she goes back to running great! Have also checked the fuel cap vent and its breathing normally. Anyone out there have any ideas as what could be causing this??

Did you change the fuel filter too?? Sounds clogged
Also, make SURE the fuel sock didn't come off during install. if so, it will suck crud until the fuel filter clogs but then unclog after back draining into the tank. then will do it again when you start driving again.

82 Fuel Issue
I have not changed the inline fuel filter. I did replace the sock filter on the fuel pump and also ran a camera into the tank and verified that the sock was as it should be.

i gotta ask. is the pump low enough in the tank? not the sock. the pump. the top of the sock. if pump is in the middle of the tank it will pull air out of the top of the sock.
