You can do that, I did. They suggest letting it learn first without letting the EFI control the timing. Then after you get that where you like it, then let the EFI control the timing. If you can find a tuner to take care of giving it a real tune, ask then what they suggest
so you were able to connect your Holley Sniper and keep your MSD box and tach drive distributor, correct?
Alohas ,
Had a sniper on since 2018. Haven't been really happy with it. It is not totally self learning ,you have to fine tune it with a laptop and the Sniper software.I would just go with an Edelbrock Pro Flo.
By the time you spend the money to get all the pieces for the Sniper your almost at the price of the Pro Flo. Sniper works but its not without its quirks.Idle will all of a sudden go stupid and the left and right bank
will read differently .I was thinking of going with a single plane but tired of spending money on this system hoping it will run better .Went through all the wiring installed ferrite cores ,it still acts up at times.
I dont care for the ECU mounted inside the unit subjected to all the heat and vibration....Good luck with your install....
I was thinking about this and wonder if anyone has experience with high altitude. My engines always show lower vacuum because of camshaft/altitude. Won’t this have a major effect on EFI or can you tune around this?
NOOOO, I bought the top of the line Holley Terminator XMax and it is pure junk. Holley will not help. This was installed professionally and has never run right and Holley
basically tells you to go straight to hell after spending $2500 with a Holley tuner telling me that the unit is just plain bad. Buy another brand that works out of the box
or put the carb back on. I would never ever recommend a Holley fuel injection to even an enemy.
