Hey guys, my rear view mirror glass is reflecting no more. The glass or the material that makes it reflect is deteriorating or something.
Does anyone no if the glass can be replaced, or can I get a very inexpensive one over the internet somewhere? Does anyone have an extra one in the garage?
When I got the car in Nov. it was like that, so I temporarily put one in from an '80 Caprice, but it is too long, and I'd like to get everything original.
Thanks,

What year model? Convertible or Coupe? There are some speciality places that re-silver mirrors, but I don't have a link for any of them at this time. Perhaps somebody else will see this and respond with more information for you.
Zip Products sells reproduction inside mirrors and accessories,http://store.yahoo.com/zipproducts/i...omponents.html
Zip is a Corvette Forum supporting reseller so you get a 5% discount if you enter CF-5 when ordering from the Internet site.
For $5 you can go to a junkyard and get a newer GM vehicle mirror which mounts up to the exact same windsheild mount as your C3 mount. You can remove it yourself with a star bit screwdriver.
I did this from a 95 pontiac sunfire and think it looks great. It is a little smaller than the original C3 mirror and a little nicer looking IMHO. Gives me more windsheild too.
If you want to get fancy, you can get one with map light or even find a unit with a compass and a temp reading, although you'll have to wire up the sensors and power to the mirror.
