My 1973 L82 has the original manual brakes. Still stops the car, but a lot of squealing, noises, and such. So I need to replace the brakes. Looks like I'll need to drill the rivets out too, oh boy. I've already done the calipers which were leaking.
Any recommendations of a good OEM style kit? I don't really want to go down the drilled/slotted route. I've only found one at Corvette Central but no reviews there.
Thanks from a newbie learning these things...
They have deep groves and small cracks in them. They just don't look very good to me. I guess I thought that I'd do all 4 since I was jumping into the project.

how about some pics of your concerns? can you measure the thickness of rotor as well? an into the grooves if you can?
if squeaking or other issue it is not the rotor IMO but maybe pads vibrating.. did you use brake grease on moving parts and back of pads?
I forgot to get a pic when the wheels were off and didn't do any measurements. I'll try to get some. Didn't use any grease when I replaced the calipers either.
