It’s time to replace the mufflers on my 71 LT1. Any suggestions on brands and who to order from? Like to keep it close to original as possible.
Thanks
Jerry

Corvette Central. If you want as close to original. I got most of my exhaust from them. Look at https://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/ and compare shipping.... I ended up getting exhaust parts from RPI and they were labeled Corvette Central because shipping was a LOT less. A couple of years ago but well worth comparing. Let me find my post on exhaust
Here you go: I put 2.5" Ramhorns and 2.5" 64 downpipes and my 68. I then attached them to the remaining 2.5" exhaust. Here is a good thread. I think that's similar to what you're trying to do?

I used 'Off-Road' mufflers, which were a GM issue at some point. I got them from either ZIP or Paragon. I can look at paperwork if you want.

I like the 2.5" rams and suitably sized pipe. I shoulda done that. Well, truth be told, I don't need it to be any faster; I'm gettin' too old to keep up with it!

Yeah. I did not NEED to do it either......but since I was installing RamHorns (getting rid of headers I'd had forever) and installing exhaust....so I decided to just do it anyway.
I ended up modifying the downpipes and intermediate pipes this year when I installed the 200-4R....but that was easy with some spare 2.5" I had lying about. Now I'm welded going aft, up to the mufflers--- the mufflers are clamped on. I also modified my crossmember so it all drops straight down now. Tucked in quite well.
