As for the rev limiter, another option might be the MSD 8365. I just picked up a used one from this Forum. I'm sure it will require some additional setup, but it does have a built-in rev limiter. D.U.I. also sells an external rev limiter.

thanks for the info, I’ll def check it out.
the manual swap is some years away lol, for the money I’d rather get a supercharger than a manual trans.
at some point ima have to decide how much $$$ over the value of the car I want to be lol, at the moment I’ve probably put in $10k more than what it’s worth

Very well could be the issue. They plastigaged right,
but that’s not an exact science.
I installed new bearings(main and rod) and got the bottom end back together. I’m not too concerned about it. I have a 454 big block in the corner that’ll replace the small block eventually

Got the engine in and fired up today. Sounds great, got a couple issues to chase down.
It’s got a miss, not sure why. Need to double check everything.
my mechanical advance failed for some reason. No advance with rpm whatso ever.
torque converter works great though. Brake boosted up to 2200 and it still wasn’t pushing through the brakes
