Looking to install a new fuel line from the tank to the pump. Shows both 1/4" or 3/8" diameters. Which one is correct for my 72 coupe or how do I find out? Have no idea just by looking.
Thanks

3/8 supply . 1/4 return. IF you are running a stock motor up to about 500 hp you should be fine with those. If you are running EFI and want a return line they suggest 3/8 for return.
Thanks guys. It is 1/4" for the return. I've always called it the vapor line but I ordered the 3/8" to the pump also. BTW, read somewhere you had to have the body off to install these. I've always remedy the body mounts, jack the car up a little bit and put them on. I guess now I know that I can't do that...........
The 82 had a 5/16” tube (return line) at the sender on top of the fuel tank but it connects with a short piece of fuel hose to a 1/4” steel fuel line to the engine. No C3 Corvette had a 5/16” return fuel line that was OEM.
I had Inlinetube make me a custom 5/16” return line front to back. It was easy for them since it’s fed and bent by automated machine.
Classic Tube in Upstate New York makes the fuel lines in either Stainless or regular steel. They make them exactly the same shape as the original lines came. I had to replace a set on a 1988 C4 and it was more than just a PIA.
On the Holley EFI systems they don't all require a "Return Line". I am using a Holley Stealth Sniper with a Holley EFI Fuel Tank module that sends 60 psi directly to the throttle body using the factory lines.
