72 differential plug socket?

72 differential plug socket?

Do they make a socket for that square plug on the differential?

Tim, if your plug takes a 5/8 open end wrench, you can use an 11/16 - 12 point socket to remove/install.

HELL YES! After trying every tool in the tool box, I was ready to drop the spare and remove the real leaf spring so I could get this done with channel locks. The 11/16 12 point worked like a charm. I owe you a beer my friend! Thank God for this forum and for your advice! Whooooo Hoooooo! Did I say 1 beer? Hell, I owe you 12 beers!

And they do make square sockets.

8.pt socket works well it used to be easy just go to the local Sears and pick one up. Those days are over the Craftsman name is out there but I don’t know what the quality is anymore
