Hi all,
I was just starting up my car for short drive and for the first 3 min the car was running fine. Then I notice the car sound funny, check engine came on and only work on idle rpm.
After checking the car I notice that only 1 injector our of the 2 is working (driver side). I tested the voltage and the injector is receiving power , I also checked that the fuel is going through.
I am about to order new Injector, but I was wondering if it could be just a vacuum line?
A injector that doesn't spray is checked with a noid light to check the integrity of the electrical side. Assuming you correctly checked for trouble codes, you're ECM is bad. After 20 seconds of the CEL being illuminated, you most definitely should have stored codes.
Edit: you also should check the fuel pressure. The pressure could be low and one injector could be on tipping point of not spraying.

Ill check it tomorrow. My ECM is "new" only 6 moths old, the first 1 got shortage after previous owner tried to boost it.
I will also try 9v battery direct to the injector to verified if its actual work.

A 9 volt battery may not be enough to drive a low impedance, PnH TBI injector. I never tried it though.

I'm only pointing this out because in another thread the OP said he had power at the injector, I chime in without mentioning the injector fuses, someone else chime in to check the fuses and turns out to be a bad fuse all along and I look like a jerk.
A noid light should be in every 82 Corvette owners tool box.

I checked the 2 fuses, both are good, than I checked the wires also good. I'll head to Home Depot to get some materials for testing the injector. the front injector is broken

I got to ask, what does Home Depot have for testing a injectors? A couple of 2x4's?
Do an ohms test on both injectors and then switch the injector side to side and see if it follows the injector or the no fuel spray stays on original side .
Both injectors have the same power wire but it’s the computer that controls the Ground to make it all work
Yup, been there,,, I spent 50 years on two careers fixing things, first was mechanical/electronic, second was Computer/electronic, both had one thing in common,,,, if something worked good once, you can make them work good again-everything is fixable-(subject to parts)- it's just a matter of how much time and money you want or can spend on it...
If you have to replace injectors, make sure you put the front injector up front and the rear injector to the rear. They look the same, but they are different.

Ahhh , I see they are different good call, that's fugged up and screws up switching side to side for testing so back to a NOID light and ohm meter for diagnosing
Ok, I tested few things today:
ECM and 2 injector fuses are fine. I also replaced them just to be sure.
I did noid light test to each injector, front injector noid light doesn't work.
9V powered each injector both are working fine.
I start to believe that it could be the ECM again. I only had it 1 year not even
Good to know that you can check TBI injectors with a 9V battery. I wouldn't bother looking for another CFI ECM. I did this: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...m-odyssey.html
There's a guy on this forum Buccaneer that can hook you up with a plug n play solution too. Either way you'll be light years ahead with any newer ECM.
