I'm not a fan of the cold weather, never have been.Last August, two days before the Carlisle show,I had just put the 406 in for the second time and ran the gas tank dry. (Laugh now, it gets worse. )So I'm pushing the Vette out of an intersection, and when the car builds up some speed I jump in. Well most of me made it in. My left leg didn't,and it got lodged under the rear tire.Three skin grafts and two screws later, and after six weeks off work,I finally get to drive the Beast again. Of course here comes winter. I guess the cold effects the stiffness in the leg,but most of all takes away the desire to wrench on the Vette. What ever happened to that Global Warming thing?
That is quite a story. I almost did a similiar thing once; pushing the car and trying to jump into it. The left rear tire rolled over the front of my shoe just missing my toes.
Try not to worry to much about the weather, but take better care of the leg. BTW, your car looks terrific! :)
This weather up here sucks, been snowing last few weeks, couldn't wait for dry weather any longer so, l started the car, first time in a month last night, drove it up and down the driveway. I got my fix! :) :)
You guys need to move down south. I will never live north of the border...the border b/w Texas and Oklahoma that is. ;)
Just this last week in Big D we had 4 days over 70^F. Drove the convertible 3 days. Of course tomorrow it will be 35F with possible freezing rain, but the rest of next week is supposed to be nice.
 I can laugh because when I did it, the tire pinned my foot as I was headed in and I smacked my head, 8 stiches and a monster of a headache for a couple days. As for weather, heck it was in the 50's here Mon-Tue and
-5 this morning and still no snow cover so you can imagine the HP you can make with that dense air if breathing it doesn't freeze you
yeah - let's not rush it yet. 3 months and counting.
It seems the northeast is the current snow belt for now.
We've had about 30" so far at my house - and about 20 still left on
the ground ... and it has snowed EVERY day for seven days here !!! ENOUGH !!
:seeya
i cant believe this i did exactly the same thing!!!car died(old point dist-msd now)-coming home from the bloomington 3 yrs ago- TOTAL DOWNPOUR---- pushed car and ran over my foot with tire!!

Re: Is it spring yet? (carl a)
You guys gotta be more careful. I haven`t run myself over but I can see how easy it would be to do this.
Today here in Kingston, TN, the temp was 20 degrees. 18 corvettes met up and we went to a Winery in Crossville TN, tasted some wine, went to Cumberland State Park and ate a wonderful lunch. It was very cold, to me at least, but the sun was out and we had a great turnout. I am glad we don`t get snow very often here. I can`t hardly stand winter anyway. I can never seem to get warm enough. :cry
