Progress on the Winter Project
Removed hood and stored in guest bedroom
Removed front sway bar
Removed radiator, core support, and shroud
Cleaned and painted the radiator, cleaned the shroud, and got them installed on the new core support. The whole assembly is set aside, ready to drop in.
Removed front shocks. Needed the torch to breal the top nut free on the passenger side.
Tomorrow I plan to put the ol' "Maryland Spring Compressor" into use and remove the rest of the front suspension. Then comes lots of sandblasting and restoration before I reinstall all the new front suspension components. I plan to replace the front and rear seals on the motor while everything is out of the way. Oh yeah, I'm pulling the tranny to replace the clutch too.
Ah, the sweet smell of progress! Pics to follow tomorrow.
