Just put in a remote starter and got it to start a few times after much work but think I have a variable/multi resistance type meaning it sends diff resistance each time. Can anyone confirm this and how do I get around it. I am not a elec genious so plus use little words. :)
Is this on your 73? The passkey system uses a 5v 30Hz squarewave signal to go to the computer to allow the injectors to fire on TPI style ignition systems.
Guess I should have mentioned it is on my 2001 Sonoma with a vortec v-6. I read on a website that there is two diff versions one sends the same resistance and the other sends diff resistance each time you start it. It started once and stayed running then would not again until I cut the yellow lead wire, reconnected them and then it started repeadedly until I started it with the key, now it won't stay running, no signal to the fuel pump. It does stay running when I start it with the key but not the remote starter.
WTF! No wonder some companies go out of business! :mad :mad :mad :mad
I went to Bulldog Secury's web site to see if I could get some more info on the security bypass module and they had no trouble shooting for my particular model. So I decided to check out the installation instruction and it shows a diff wire diagram than the instructions that came with it! What a crock of @#%$! :mad Hope it works or I am really going to be mad! :mad
