Default 68 Smog Tubes

Morning all,
can anyone tell me how to distinguish between 68 small block tubes and 68 big block tubes, looking at buying a smog setup, most numbers look good. can't find any numbers on the tubes.

Thx Jim (66353)

The easiest way to tell SB from BB is that the two middle pipes in the SB assembly are close together. The BB assembly the pipes are evenly spaced.
I looked at my '69 AIM and it has numbers for both SB and BB assemblies. I can give you those if you are interested.
I don't know if the '68 numbers are the same, but as I remember when I bought the system for mine a long time ago there are no numbers on the parts.

Thanks Robert,

Of course I'm interested..LoL Please forward any info you have. I just bought on Ebay a complete set of aim system for 68 small block and want to compare numbers. Seller told me that pipes did not haver numbers (not likely). But anyway the ones I got must be for SB as center tubes are close to each other

According to the 1969 AIM the small block numbers are:
LH 3905297
RH 3877480
And big block numbers are:
LH 3889377
RH 3917252
Don't know if the '68 numbers are the same or different. It sometimes seems that GM changed part numbers just because they could.
