A steel flatbed won't care if the car has siezed wheels, or no wheels at all. If the transmission linkage is stuck in two gears at once, that could be the issue. You could drop the driveshaft in that case.
You are a brave soul to purchase this car sight unseen and sans PPI, cars like this get passed around like a high school cheerleader with numerous kludges
applied along the way, pull your kick panels and body inspection panels and poke around before you put anymore $$$ into it.
The saga continues. The driver called yesterday to say when at the truck stop, he had his generator serviced and the tech mistakenly put oil in the coolant. So another delay, but hoping all the trials are found just getting it here and the rest will be resolved.
I do agree @68V this was a bit of a risk. While I did not see the car in person, the dealer that had this car in 2022 made the following videos to put some confidence in the frame of the car. The paint is not a quality job. However, we visited the Morgantown Auto Mall near us and looked a number of C3s in this price range. I am comfortable with the price/value and paint imperfections over the cracking I had seen on the other cars.
The car arrived this morning from Chicago and I can see the work ahead of me after 55 years of various work on the car. The number of items that have been reassembled poorly is what mostly stands out. However, the frame sounds and appears very solid, so we will go with that for now. Next journey will likely be in new threads.

Well, it seems that @68V was spot on. After digging into this car more than I planned, it is clear this car has been passed around and has not seen love for a long time. At least four different colors from original British Green, red, blue and now yellow. I feel like every item that attaches was put on with 3 of the 4 bolts. That said the long journey has begun. Successes so far:
Rebuilt Quadrajet
Replaced three different kinds of spark plugs, confirmed timing and now smooth running
Resolved key/lock issue
Replaced oil pressure line with copper but does not seal at gauge, replacing with plastic kit from CC
Shifter rebuilt and now shifting well
Got electrical lights working with fuse replacement and cleaning
Headlight doors open with vacuum rebuild
Fuel gauge sender replaced gauge now working
Interior lights mostly working after cleaning, switch replacement and fuse replacement
What started as basic light switch replacement now has whole dash apart awaiting firewall insulation
Replace incorrect hood support
Next on the agenda
New tires coming Thursday
Dash reassembly
Blower Fan Motor replacement
Fix passenger window track (busted wheel)
Replace door hinge bushing and pins and algin doors while dash out
Borgeson PS w/ BBC brackets ready for install
Replace mufflers/exhaust as needed
My wife asked if I thought it would be ready by Memorial Day...hmm, this must be a reality TV show.

Nice to see you going through your new Yellow Corvette like I'm going through my new Yellow Corvette! As you may recall when you commented on my thread, I have a 60 (edit: oops - 69) coupe with a base 350, so it is not as exciting as your car. Having said that, I'm having fun working through the car to get it road worthy.
Hi ,
Congratulations on a very unique and desirable mako Corvette.
If (a big "if") your car has the original quadrajet carb I may be able to help you out with a correct fuel line and fuel filter assembly - fuel pump to carb.
I also have an NOS choke assembly for that particular year - 1968 390 hp 427.
Regards,
Jerry

@HawkRod, exciting really only works when I am driving it. This weekend I decided to do a deep dive and did the door hinge bushings and started on Borgeson install which will now necessitate the replacement of the headers. The debate of whether to go back to manifolds or take my chances with whether headers will fit. Family was over for holiday and one look at the dashless interior made them question my sanity.

Thanks @QIK59 it is not an original Quadrajet but looks like a replacement intake and carb from a 73 454, likely out of a truck. For the moment, I can manage through cold starts without a choke but have been scouting replacements.
