I made a mistake and removed the wiper actuator, (big one for late 68) to paint it and improve the look. Well it looks great but I can get it adjusted to open the wiper cover when the wiper switch is one. How can I adjust it? Thanks
Rookie question: Is that shaft that comes out of the actuator threaded? On my '72 it is, and it's how you adjust how far the door opens when activated. Does anything at all happen when you turn on the wipers?
The wiper linkage thread is left hand and the actuator rod has a right hand thread. The connecting nut acts as a "turnbuckle" and adjusts the linkage. Next time do not turn the nut to remove the actuator and count how many turns of the actuator it takes to remove it. Lou.
Your very welcome. I have had my 68 coupe for 50 1/2 years and anything that could break on the car has at least once! Check out my thread on C-3 general forum called "Long time chrome bumper owner speaks". Lou.
