I have a question, my 70 has a stock hood 350/300hp. I have a 70 GM stock winters high rise aluminum intake I believe was available for Corvette or Z28 Camaro I obtained and wanted to make sure if I go to a LT1 hood it will clear and close. I like the look rather than stock. So any comments is appreciated.
I have the same engine on my 70. I put the factory winters LT-!/Z-28 intake on it with the small block hood and it fits and clears fine. So the LT-1 hood will clear also
This is the intake My hood currently My stock 350 without the intake.
So you think that intake fits under stock hood ? Well I can always put it on and set the carb and air cleaner and close it right? I just thought it wouldn’t fit because only a edelbrock performer w Qjet fits anything else go to LT1 hood.
Get some playdough and put it in a ziplock bag. Set it on your air breather there and close your stock hood to see how much room you have now. Compare the height difference between manifolds and go from there

I used to have a 69 350/350 with an LT-1 intake and Holley carb. It fit under the stock hood, but not by much. Be sure the air cleaner stud doesn’t stick up too high. Don’t ask me how I know that.

Yes! The winters high rise will fit the LT1 hood on a 350 sb BUT no quad no double pumper, I put a 750 VS and ordered the correct drop base for an LT1 air cleaner and used a 3” air filter. Had to add two sims in the hood to level looks awesome .
