So this is a weird find. The temperature sensor lead(Dark Green) obviously passes through the bulkhead connector . Funny thing is that in the gauge side does not correspond with the engine compartment side (call it bulkhead connector #1). It appears that it lines up with the white-red-black lead which ends up at the coil. Looking from the engine compartment side it lines up with the pink lead which goes to the ignition switch( call it bulkhead connector # 2) Hmmmm. I sent this out couple days ago and (only) one response was telling me how they are 'lined up' like hands in the 'pray' position. I agree with him however of all the drawings I have seen includng the one in the AIM this is seen in the 1969,1970 1nd 1971 drawings. All other connections line up fine. Funny thing is it is ok on the 1968 and 1972 drawings. I sent this out to see if anyone else caught this.
Just looked at two diagrams I have for the 69 and the AIM and two are like you show and the other looks different again (I think) then one some company made and it looks "right"
That there's a mistake doesn't surprise me all that much (keeping in mind these weren't meant to actually wire the car) I'd like to see what a chassis manual might show (but I'm not really that curious)
My 72 AIM doesn't have the wiring in it but the diagram I have also had a mistake in it where the grey wire from the fuse box apparently turns to purple in the middle and then back to gray as it gets to the dash lights.
I found that mistake some time ago. I have a '69 and converted the B/W wiring diagrams to color for my use. Someone doing the drawings must have confused the wires and labeled the incorrectly.
There is also an Orange wire going from the fuse block Heater Fuse to the Ignition switch that is completely missing. I had a lot of fun figuring out several of the mistakes that they made.
I ended up dropping the dash panels out of the car and then had the extra fun of trying to get them back in again.

I'm will to share, but don't know how to put it on the site so that anyone could download it, or how to send it to one person.
It's a fairly large PDF file of almost 10MB. I've given it to several locals near where I live.

The site will allow pdf attachments of up to 20 MB. Just upload the file the same as a picture, it won't display it but will show as a link to view or download

Here is my wiring diagram for the 1969 Corvette. This was taken from the original GM diagrams and then completely redrawn in color.
I have corrected several errors that I have found, but it is possible that more might have slipped through. If you find any errors let me know and I can make corrections.
My original file is a TIF file that is very large and somewhat difficult to edit since it is so large that I have to break it into sections and then reassemble it into a final file.
Most of the images in the file are redrawn from the GM images, but some of them I redrew to look more like the actual part, i.e the ignition switch plugs.
I have also been working on some other years, but it is difficult to verify my work as I only have a '69 to use as a checker.

WOW! Looks like my curiosity got us(69 corvette lovers) an awesome wiring diagram. Must have taken a lot of time to do. For me and anyone else on this forum.... THANKS!
Believe it or not the program that I have used for years to do pixel editing is MS Paint which is the basic paint program that came with Windows.
I even used it when I was still working to generate documentation for new products. Many other programs are much more powerful, but Paint is the easiest to edit down to pixel level.
The problem is that the file becomes too large for Paint to open, so I have to work on it in sections and then paste all the pieces together and save it.
Once you get used to it, it becomes a familiar friend. I used several other programs for other work.
My hat's off to you for doing that in MS paint.
I used illustrator for mine, (72) but I can see why you'd use a raster program, especially if you're that comfortable with it.

You are all welcome. After doing all of the hard work I appreciate when others can use it.
Using Paint is actually quite easy for some tasks. Once I make an image I save it and then cut and paste parts together.
I use Photoshop for a lot of things, but doing small detail work is easier in Paint.
How close is the wiring diagram for the 1969 to the 1972?
I am not opposed to buying one from Zip or Classic wiring, but this 1969 drawing seems to have been worked through and corrected.
Thanks
I think that they are fairly similar, but probably not exact. I do not think that there were too many changes from 69-72, but knowing engineers they always like to confuse as many people as possible.
As I, or others on the Forum members find some of the errors that GM put into their original drawings I make revisions to my drawing. It is amazing how many errors we have found. Sometimes it is as simple as reversing the colors on wires to a switch.
Sometimes it causes a major redesign for me. I always feel that we have found everything and then another issue is found. This latest revision was a fairly small change and then I rerouted some lines to make it simpler to read although the wiring was correct.
Here is the latest version. I now put the revision date in the file name to make it easier for me to keep track of changes.

Reason: wrote incorrect year wrote 60 instead of 69.
