Newbie here. I know there are a ton of discussions on this. But….I need a little more help. Done the typical timer bypass but want to diagnose it properly. Does anyone have an in-depth interior light diagnostic tree for lights staying on? Having a hard time making heads or tails of the wiring diagrams I have. Would love an original 1982 GM diagram. Any help would be appreciated
OK, so you bypassed the delay timer and the lights are still staying on?
the switches in the door jambs are ground out switches. The lights always have power and when the jamb switch pops out it connects to ground. Try unplugging one switch at a time. Or just try pushing them in with your finger.
I appreciate the guidance. Would still love to see what else is associated to the door pins. Drivers door pin is a 3 wire. Assuming 2 of those are for supplying ground to the int lights. Want to know what the 3rd wire is for. Assuming supply ground to the key buzzer circuit??? Want to know what is all connected to those door pins. 1982
