Default Rebuild A/C oil ad

I rebuild my a 6 compressor and A/C system
I forgot to add oil to the compressor.
Can I add oil to the filling port . Ore need i to remove the compressor out en fill it on the bench?

Can i fill the oil on this port or will this go right in to the compression chamber

Thanks.

Assume it is not charged, i would put in there and or remove the connection and add into compressor, close up, rotate compressor by hand to move oil through and vacuum and charge.

You should remove compressor and add correct amount of oil required for it into the suction port, turning the clutch drive by hand every so often. When done, stand compressor up on clutch end for about 1/2 hour. This will allow a small amount of oil get to the front shaft seal to lube it. If you try to put that much oil into it, I’m guessing 6-8 ounces for an old a6, through the service port the oil will just back up into the low side line and the compressor will run dry for a while before oil is “pulled” into it.

I would discourage adding oil to the suction side of your compressor
You cannot compress a liquid.
