Default Roller Rocker slop

Hello,

I just upgraded to Lunati full roller rockers for my SBC but they have quite a bit of lateral slop and I'm not sure if this is normal so I'd appreciate some expert opinions.

TIA

Similar problem I had with my Howard’s rockers. Howard’s said to take the C clips off and press the bearings into body. Basically take two sockets and put them on each end then put it into a vice. Slowly press in the bearings into the body but not too much or you will bind the rocker shaft or won’t have enough space for the Polly locks.

Thanks. These are only about a month old so I'm going to try to complain to jegs first to see what they say. If I can't get anywhere with them I'll give your suggestion a try. But I'd think that those bearings might work themselve out over time again? I found your post and video and it's very similar to mine. Did you see a significant improvement after pressing bearings?

Yep, it fixed my issue. My Howard’s rockers where also brand new. Aluminum expands faster than steel so hopefully, for the both of us the bearings stay in place…

Oh hell no. I run old stock Comp cam stainless or Crower. I won't buy the new parts from all of these Chinese traitor to quality Company's products.

Actually, Lunati rocker arms are made in the USA.

So are Scorpion, who also make rocker arms for Howard’s…

At 8k rpm the piston speed will be 5,333 feet per minute. The top safe speeds I have seen are 5,000 feet per minute.
Here is a link to piston speed calculator. I will be interested in your build as I have the same goal. I was going to limit stroke to 3.622.
