Default Blinker solid?

my Blinkers are not blinking, just holding solid. Hazards are blinking just fine. I just had to drill into the slot for where the stalk goes in to fit it after it broke on me. Any ideas? It doesn’t look like there were any wires or anything where I drilled. Car is 1981 without cruise control.

The 4-way hazards use a different flasher module than the turn signals. The turn signal flasher is located at the bottom right of the passenger dash cover with the map pocket. Change this out and you should be good to go.

The 81 has both flasher modules mounted on the fuse block assembly under the dash to the left of the steering column. One is for your turn signals, the other for the emergency flashers. One is at the top and the other at the bottom of the fuse block assembly.
