Good Afternoon - I am looking to upgrade my current y-pipe exhaust with a true dual set up. I have a gift card for Zip Corvettes so I would like to order from them if possible. From what I can tell, I need to order an exhaust for a 74 as the 76 exhaust options all have the Y pipe and convertor. I am looking at the following part numbers at Zip.
EX-2013 2-2 1/2in Exhaust Pipe Set
EX-985 2 1/2in Magnaflow Mufflers
EX -205 2 1/2 front hanger bracket
EX-330 Muffler Hangers
BL-495 Muffler Hanger Bolts
ZEX-113 Exhaust Manifold Studs
Looking for opinions on whether or not this should work. I have to assume plenty of people have gone this route but I wanted to confirm before paying to have the parts shipped to me.
I should add, I have a 1976 L-48 with a 4 speed manual transmission.
I didn't take the time to look up all the part numbers. But the answer is yes. A 74 system will bolt right up to your 76. Just make sure you get the duel hanger bracket at the transmission mount.
Thank you! I did notice that I would need the dual hanger so I have that on the list.
Someone from Corvette Central also mentioned that I should get the muffler hanger brackets for a 78-82 for this application. I'm not sure on this one but he seemed to know what he was talking about so I will likely order it up and return it if not needed.

Personally I would save the Zip card and go with the CC system.
I put the true dual set up on mine years ago with Magnaflows & the 2 1/2" pipes.
The fit was like it came from the factory and everything still looks like new...
I thought about going with the CC system, but the problem is I can always find other things to spend my money on outside of my car. I have been playing around with the idea of a new exhaust for a couple years and haven't moved forward for that reason, plus my current system works but doesn't fit the best with the cat delete pipe I installed. I have over $500 in a Zip gift card so that has helped to sway my decision.
I ordered the manifold studs to be safe in case one breaks during removal. The nuts look to be rusted on there pretty good.
IF I was starting now then I would buy a Bowtie Overdrives (or G-Force) replacement crossmember to begin with. I'm guessing Bowtie would be better for me just from viewing other folks' pictures.
I could then get a regular exhaust system installed that would be straighter and cheaper and better that would pass under the aftermarket crossmember.... which your generic exhaust shop could put in easily ....
I bought the Corvette Central exhaust all way back from the manifold to the mufflers. I got the 64-65 downpipes since they're 2.5" all the way from the manifold and do NOT neck down since I was installing 2.5" RamHorns. Don't get me wrong, the CC exhaust fit like a dream but in the end, when I put in the 200-4R I ended up cutting it up, and cutting up my crossmember, and cutting the downpipes, and now it more or less runs straight back ..... If I would have started with a pass-under crossmember it would have easier, and better, from the beginning.
