Default H3R Fire Extinguishers

Anyone have any experience or input on these?? For my 69 convertible am thinking....

1) Halguard version - given I am spending countless hours and $$$ on this restoration was thinking Halguard version would be worth the money cuz if I do have to use it there would be less collateral damage and clean up. They come 1.4 lbs ($242), 2.5 lbs ($369) and 5 lbs. ($442) Was initially thinking of the 2.5 but now leaning to the 1.4 to keep the size (and $$) down a bit. These prices are for the red...black and chrome are more. And speaking of keeping size down......

2) underseat mount...am leaning toward this install option for a few reasons. I could easily do a velcro set up somewhere in the back...but in the event I need to access quickly while in the car I like the underseat option. Just not sure if it will "sit" well and avoid any interference with the seat adjuster.

3) and the big decision...what color? ;-) Kinda kidding here...but thinking either red or black. Red is cheapest (in the 1.4lb...$242 red vs. $283 for the black) vs. and red stands out more which I guess is good and bad...but if under front of seat who cares? Black would blend in a bit better.

Sooo...California Car Co is having a sale on them ending today so bonus points for responses today on...1) any general experience with H3Rs? 2) Halguard vs other versions? 3) size? 4) underseat mount on a C3 ok? 5) color?...recognizing color is very personal preference.

Thanks in advance

I recently replaced my standard fire extinguisher with an Element 50. I like the smaller size plus the 50 seconds of fire extinguishing time.

This is the mount I bought back in 2016 for a the standard fire extinguisher. It's pretty much the same as the Element. I purchased a second plastic clip mount, drilled a mounting hole in them and screwed it to the bracket.

I carry 1.3 lbs of Halon in my airplane. There is also halotron which is a substitute for halon since the EPA or someone decided that halon isn't good for us. Not familiar with the H3R brand so I don't know which chemical it contains. I do know that if it is halotron you need to double the size of the extinguisher as it is about half as effective. Otherwise both good products apparently. Fortunately I've never had to use one. I also know that if you have to use a conventional extinguisher on your car (or airplane) you pretty much have to throw the vehicle away. The usual suppressants are highly corrosive.

Cheaper on ebay for the same stuff if halotron is what you're looking for.
saw $353 for 5 lb. $168 for the 1.4lb.

Amerex B386T, 5lb Halotron I Class B C Fire Extinguisher

H3R fire extinguishers is a good company, I have used them for replacement fire extinguishers in the Bell 407 helicopter. I have the Amerex B385 2.5lb Halotron, sets on my workbench and when I go for a cruise I just place it behind the Pass seat.

Thanks to all for the useful input. I decided to pass on the H3R and will likely get the Amerex. Am thinking the 2.5 lbs size is the way to go for me. Amerex WITH the car bracket on Amazon is $234. The H3R is $370 without the bracket. The Amerex is just slightly bigger...cylinder is the same at 3"...but Ameriex is about 1" higher and overall width about an inch and half..guessing that is the bracket. Amerex is "Halotron" and H3R is Halguard...presuming just different brand names for equally effective result.
