Installed a set of Octane LED headlights on my 1977. The installation was easy and everything went in smooth. No modification needed. I chose to go with the clear glass as opposed to the faceted stock look. The pictures don't do it much justice, but they are brighter and have a better beam pattern as the stock set up. They are also cooler white on the color temperature than the stock bulbs that were warmer yellow. So far, i'm happy with this decision.

nice! How was the install? Do they require and relays or was it straight plug and play? I have been looking for LED replacements but choices are limited. I want something that looks like a stock bulb but LED light. I also wanted the ones with the amber halo I cam also use as turn signals, there are a few out there but finding someone that has used them is slim. My lights are so low I need something really bright. I also want to keep the wiring very simple so want want a bunch of stuff that can sometimes come with swaps like this.
The nice thing bout LED’s is they take LESS power, far less. This really takes it easy on our wire harnesses and switches. Every “old” car I buy, I change ALL bulbs to LED. They even have glass bulb LEDs that look like old school incandescent bulbs. For the interior you have to be careful and try to find “warm white” bulbs, otherwise the interior of you war will be lit up like a UFO. The warm white bulbs will look like stick but all take FAR less power. I think it’s a factor of 10.

Ditto... Yet if I had a nickel for every time I read advise to replace and beef up the wiring for leds...
They were easy to install and everything was included in the set. The beam pattern is very consistent and even without any "hot spots". Looks better than stock.

So these are bone stock replacements? I don't need to drill the back of the cup and make it wider? Literally plug and play?? If so, I'm ordering them right now. HAHA

I have the 4000 lumen version of those same lights. The 2500 lumen lights fit as stock. The 4000 lumens have a slightly larger cooling fan and need about 1/8" clearance on the back of the cup to fit. I reamed out mine enough to clear, took about 5 minutes.
So I put them in and they feel pretty warm. Doesn’t seem normal. I thought the LED was supposed to run cooler than halogen? I didn’t need to open up the bulb housing at all. They fit with no issues.
The headlight switch is also warm so I’m thinking I might need to install relays.. what do y’all think?

What set did you buy?
Are you sure they are LED. When I got mine, I had to swap out the bulbs from halogen to LED. The relays were included in the set.

I swapped them out with the led lights. They were originally halogen. Have no idea why they’d do that and not mention it. The switch is still warm, which makes me think it’s a bad switch. Getting a new switch and a relay harness, which should take care of everything.
Hey! Nice outcome. I have a question. My mechanic said some brackets are missing but I just think he doesn't know how to install them. Any suggestion? Can you describe the installation process? Were there any brackets included in the bundle? Thank you from Italy!
Welcome to the forum! The headlights sit in a cup and are then contained by a polished trim ring.
I have these same headlights myself. They fit just like stock. They install just the same as any other headlight bulb, but with a short harness that fits behind the bulb.
My only comment is that the LED bulbs included have builtin cooling fans which are prone to fail, can be noisy, and may interfere with old school radios. If you can buy the lenses without the LEDS, you can source LED bulbs with higher lumens that are fanless, fairly easily on amazon or ebay, OR, you can also retrofit LED fanless bulbs into a Euro Hello Glass Chrystal headlight lense with the sharp beam cutoff, originally made for halogens (mine are from 1983), which will provide superior light output with excellent light disbursement, with no blinding to on coming traffic. Just an option..........
