Default 73 350 spark plug cover

Maybe dumb question, see pics. Does the cover go over or under the metal support. This is an original car. I'm stuck, was tricky getting off and I'm about to get a crow bar! Well, there must be an obvious simply way. Tks.

Those funny shaped little brackets are threaded so your little wing bolts can be threaded into them. So clearly they go over. Then retained by the nice chrome wing bolts.

Hi Doug,
Heres a few photos of the shield on both sides top and bottom views. The first four pics are from my ‘73 note that I don’t have the green heat sensor wire on mine. The other pics are from another ‘73 of a friend of mine…note the correctly installed green sensor wires!
As noted above the chrome shield has to go over the plug wire heat shield and the threaded brackets. Hope the arrows help. Also one very helpful installation tip….make sure that the bottom of the right side shield does NOT come in contact with any of the starter wiring. When installed correctly it won’t but it’s very close down there! Ask me how I know!
You could have just emailed me for these! I’m always willing to help you out if I can!
Jimmy
