Default 64 Heads on my 68 engine?

Thanks to all who chimed in on my Valve cover question, now I have a question regarding the heads currently installed on the engine.

Although I’ve been restoring cars most my adult life, this is my first American car so I am in unfamiliar territory, be gentle and thanks for your patience.

the manufacturers stampings on my heads, late night internet searching has me believing these came off a 1964 model but I’ve also noticed conflicting

information sometimes so when that happens I make a post to try to get the correct data.

Any information folks can provide is always greatly appreciated.

drivers side head is stamped

pass side head is stamped

C54

thanks!

Early "fuelie" heads.......64cc chamber. A good cylinder head as far as GM heads go....there was also a 461X head...which was 170cc intake port vs. 160cc for the standard 461.......but the "X" can only be seen at the bottom near the ends of the head while off.....
They were like 1963 to 1966 I believe.....
