Spent the last several days restoring my headlight assemblies. These are custom aluminum pans from a racer/fabricator close to Willow Springs in CA. The cups are from a Mercedes 280SL as far as I know. I'm doing an LED conversion with a set of Cibie 5 3/4" bulb housings. Also had to do some acrylic repair on the covers, they had cracked about 10 years ago. Having fun. Ask me anything :smile:
Looks like a fun project, although not everyone's taste. I like something different. I put a set of rectangular lights on my 78. My daughter picked them out as being from a mid 70 camaro right away. I trained her well.. Show us a pic of the project car these are going into.
Modified some universal dust caps to fit the LED bulbs. Not thrilled that these bulbs are red anodized, as it casts a reddish hue inside the unlit bulbs, but it shouldn't be noticeable except up close.
