Default Brown/White wire under dash?? - 1981 Corvette

Hey yall, I have cleaned and purged the rat's nest that was once my wiring harness, but I am left with one, very thing gauge, brown(maybe tan?) and white wire leading from the main cabin harness. I believe it is related to the cruise control, but, from what I can see, everything is connected (car is not yet ready to turn on and test).

Any ideas? I am at a total loss, and about to just electrical tape it so I can move on, so any help would be massively appreciated !!

The thin feller against the firewall with the electrical tape.

Bad picture, but I think everything for the CC is hooked up??

Your cruise control is not connected. This end should fit into that black female connector with the Brown, Blue and Green wires.

I agree, that male connector is from the cruise engage switch.
You need to find the F/M connector

Cool, thankyou both! That was confusing me for way too long.

But back to this mystery wire, I can only see one brown/white wire on the AIM in the area, and it says its to the cruise control? I'll try and get some better pics in a little bit, but any ideas?? Again, it seems like all is connected (obviously doesn't mean much coming from me lol), but it would be nice to know everything is hooked up before I put this cabin completely back together.

I know these don't look like they match, but this slim white male end needs to plug into this black female connector for the cruise control to get its signal.

Yes, thankyou! Got those two connectors sorted. I'll get some better pics tonight, but the singular brown wire in the far background, resting against the carpet, is what I'm now worried about. He's disconnected (cut in two) from somewhere and my 6'5 body is making it difficult to worm up there to see!

Oh, I see it. What is on the end behind the pedal? Is it just a cut end? Is it solid Tan or does it have a tracer?
